The Bioparco – Rome .
The Rome Zoo was inaugurated in 1911 with the primary objective of entertaining the public through the exhibition of rare and exotic animals. A very different concept from the current “modern zoo”, that is, a structure active in the conservation of endangered species, environmental education and scientific research. Today, a visit to Bioparco represents an opportunity to know, understand and consequently respect the environment that surrounds us. Bioparco hosts more than 1,200 animals belonging to about 200 different species including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians from 5 continents and is inserted in a botanical context of the most interesting and suggestive of Rome.
A unique experience not to be missed!!!
